Spring Make-Up Look

Hello! I haven't done a beauty themed blog post in a while so I thought it was about time I do one. Some of you may not be interested in this whatsoever but you gorgeous girls out there may like this one.

I've been tending to wear light natural-looking make-up recently, particularly during these spring months and thought I would share this spring make-up look with you. Keep reading to see how I achieved it...

First, I always use moisturiser. My current favourite is the original Aveeno Moisturising Cream. I apply this all over my face by gently massaging it in circular motions. I do this before applying any make-up to soften my skin and make foundation application smoother and easier.

After waiting a few minutes to let the moisturiser soak in, I dot my No.7 Instant Radiance Foundation in the shade Calico all over my face and then buff it in using a Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.

Next up, I take the Maybelline Instant Anti-age Eye Eraser in the shade Light and roll this under my eyes to conceal my under-eye dark circles and blend this in with a Real Techniques Contour Brush.

Next up, I apply some Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in the shade 1 Fair to my cheeks, chin, the middle lower forehead area and my nose, and any other problem areas.

After concealer, I usually fill in my eyebrows with the Collection Work the Colour Eyebrow Kit, taking the middle brown shade with an small angled brush. I then use a brow brush to ensure the colour is distributed evenly.

I also use this shade and this same brush to line the corners of my upper lash line. I find it gives a little extra definition to my eyes and lashes without looking obvious that I'm wearing eyeliner.

Most people would usually apply eyeshadow next but I find if I apply my mascara after my eyeshadow and I get some mascara above or on my eyelids and have to wipe it off that I end up wiping off the eyeshadow too and re-applying it.

I apply my mascara first! This is the Benefit They're Real! Mascara which I L-O-V-E! It is an absolute pain to take off at night but I really love the product.

NOW it's eyeshadow time!! I am in love with the Make Up Academy Undress Me Too eyeshadow palette. For this look, I use a gorgeous rose gold eyeshadow in the shade Fiery (top row, fourth from the left) and apply it with a Body Shop fluffy eyeshadow brush.

I then take the Rimmel London Sun Shimmer Bronzing Powder and use a large angled fluffy brush to apply this to my cheekbones and lightly dust on my cheeks. I love how this bronzer is warm but not too orange!! It's really pretty to wear in the spring and summer for that sun-kissed look.

I then apply the highlighter from the Sleek Contour Kit to the tops of my cheekbones, a dusting on my forehead, the middle of my nose and my cupid's bow for that healthy, glowing appearance. I use it all the time, can you tell?!

And finally, although I am a lipstick lover, for this look I like to wear a fairly clear lip gloss. This one is slightly tinted and is the Never Lose your Cherry balm by Anatomicals.

And that's the finished look!
