20th Birthday Celebrations

I've now left my teenage years in the past, and quite honestly, I'm rather happy to have done so. Daunting as it may be to be entering my twenties (when oh when did I get so OLD?!), I'm rather excited to see what life has in store for me.

I celebrated my twentieth birthday over several days (as per usual when you and your family are spread over different pieces of land). It started last weekend when my best friend came to visit. To be honest, we didn't do much (unless you count walking to the kitchen and back as a fun activity - which, I do) but it was lovely to spend some time with her, albeit freezing our bums off in my cold house.

On my "actual birthday" (Wednesday) I spent the morning in bed watching Phil and Holly (I'm a sucker for a bit of This Morning) whilst opening my birthday cards. In the afternoon I treated myself to having my eyebrows done (trust me, they needed it) and then went out for dinner with my house girls in the evening, which was rather lovely!

On Friday, my other bestie Sara flew over very early to Bournemouth and we didn't spend long there before deciding there was absolutely nothing to do, so instead we left earlier than planned for our drive to Exeter. I say drive, I mean 'caraoke' (that's car + karaoke if you didn't get that).

Soon after our arrival, we decided the best thing we could possibly do would be to head straight into town and go shopping - of course! Then we spent our evening with the fam stuffing our faces with Domino's, as all great people do on Friday nights, and getting Baby Olivia (capital B, capital O) to pose for photos.

More damage was done on Saturday after heading back into town again and then, as a birthday present from my lovely Aunty Mary, I had my make-up done at the MAC shop ready for mine and my Uncle Steve's joint birthday meal at Chiquito's.

There were a lot of us. We took up a good portion of the restaurant! The food was delicious and having so many family members and friends there made it really special. I didn't want it to end and I woke up this morning wishing I could have that chorizo burger and sweet potato fries all over again for my breakfast.

So what a wonderful birthday week it's been. Great company, even better food (nah, I'm joking, I think) and lots of baby cuddles to top it all off. Aaaah, bring on my 21st!

P.S, just going to leave this #teething photo here x
